Cardamon and Pear Oatmeal Bake
Ingredients:
3 cups rolled oats
½ cup brown sugar
2 teaspoon cardamon
1½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
2½ cups milk of choice
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 ripe pears, peeled, cored and sliced
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350o F (180o C). Grease a 9 X 13 inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine the oats, brown sugar, cardamon, baking powder and salt.
- In a small bowl, mix together the milk, eggs, oil or butter and vanilla.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
- Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top with pears.
- Bake for about 45 minutes or until the centre has set and a toothpick comes out clean.
