You only need a referral from your family doctor.

To schedule an appointment, your family doctor can fill out the referral form and fax it to 604.416.3249. Once the referral is received, our staff will contact you to book an appointment.

Important notes:

  1. You must have a referral from your family doctor and valid BC MSP (we do not see private consults).
  2. The IBD Centre of BC only sees patients with known or suspected IBD.

  • How long will my appointment be?

    Your appointment will most likely be between one and two hours.

  • Can I still see a doctor at The IBD Centre of BC if I don't live in the Lower Mainland?

    Absolutely! You will be able to access our services through telehealth.

  • I'm not from British Columbia. Can I still see a doctor at The IBD Centre of BC?

    Yes – as long as you have valid health insurance from a province or territory in Canada.

  • What do I do if I need to cancel my appointment?

    Call our office at 604.416.4444 as soon as you know your appointment needs to be cancelled or changed.

  • Is your office wheelchair accessible?

    You bet. Robson Court, where The IBD Centre of BC is located, has wheelchair-accessible elevators and restrooms.

  • How do I get to the office by transit?

    The IBD Centre of BC is located at 840 Howe – two blocks west of Granville between Robson and Smithe, and close by the Canada Line – Vancouver City Centre station.

  • What is your address?

  • Where do I park?

    Metered street parking is available on Howe (one way heading south) with a 2-hour maximum between 9:30 am and 3 pm, and then after 6 pm. There is also a parkade under the building, with the entrance off Smithe (one way heading west) between Howe and Granville. The cost is $7/hour and you pay in advance.

  • Do I have to pay for my appointment?

    You do not have to pay for an appointment at The IBD Centre of BC. Our services are covered by MSP.

  • Will anything change at the new office?

    All patients on their first visit to The IBD Centre of BC’s new office (even those who have seen us at our old office) will need to fill out a few forms.
